Following the incident that took place in Charlottesville, Virginia over the weekend, Propaganda mill MSNBC sought to mislead the public (at least the very small audience of the public that actually watches them) with false and debunked information regarding Islamic jihadis and “right wing extremists.”
On Monday, MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle claimed that right-wing extremists are responsible for “three times more deaths” than Islamic jihadis.
“Between 2001 and now, we have seen three times more deaths caused by right-wing extremists than Islamic terrorists,” she said.
Ruhle was apparently making reference to the Government Accountability Office’s Countering Violent Extremism: Actions Needed to Define Strategy and Assess progress of Federal Efforts report (April 2017).
Ruhle simply got all her information completely wrong.
Trending:
According to the report, from September 12, 2001 to December 31, 2016 there were alleged to have been 23 attacks carried out by Islamic jihadis, which resulted in 119 deaths while during the same time period, there were 62 attacks carried out by “right wing extremists” that resulted in 106 deaths.
Clearly, there were more deaths that were the result of Islamic jihadis.
However, to be fair, it is possible that she mixed up her numbers.
What I mean is that there were almost three times as many attacks by so-called “right wing extremists” than Islamic jihadis.
In either case, both are bad. However, if one considers that the report began the day after the largest Islamic jihad attack on America on September 11, 2001, which claimed almost 3,000 lives… well, you do the math. There is no comparison there.
So, keep that in mind the next time that MSNBC or any other propaganda wing of the state-controlled media references such attacks that they are purposefully leaving out the deadliest attack in American history, and that was brought to you by Islam.
At the least it’s misleading.
At the most, it’s just plain lying.
As I’ve said in the past, instead of Western media covering for their beloved Islam, they should shut their collective pie holes and call Islam for what it is.
I’ll also add that conservative commentators should stop using the term “radical Islam” and start using the term “devout Islamists” to reference Islamic jihadis.
When it comes to Antifa and neo-Nazi types, they don’t get a pass any more than Islamists or some in the Black Lives Matter crowd.
Murder is murder.
Do I think the guy in Virginia was a terrorist? Not really.
I think he was simply your run of the mill violent criminal who should be found guilty based on his actions, not his ideology.
However, every single time something like this happens where it involves someone who is not Muslim, the media jumps all over it in an attempt to target right wingers.
If you don’t believe me, I’ll give you just a couple of examples.
Remember in 2012 when James Holmes allegedly strolled into a movie theater in Aurora, Colorado armed to the teeth and in body armor and murdered people at the screening of the movie The Dark Knight Rises?
The day after ABC claimed that Holmes was tied to the Tea Party.
As it turns out, James Holmes eventually converted to Islam.
Holmes was not the only “white guy” to be lumped in with conservatives that the media and our own government have labeled as “right wing extremists.”
They immediately politicized the Gabrielle Giffords shooting claiming that Sarah Palin might somehow be to blame because of her “target list” that she posted to her Facebook page back in March of 2010 which had crosshairs on areas in which she wanted to take back control from Democrats and among them were three areas in Arizona.
CBS continued to promote that the shooter, Jared Loughner, had a particular extreme conservatism and yet we came to find out that he didn’t even have a particular political ideology. Eventually, a proper analysis of Loughner was made, but only after the damage had been done to smear conservatives.
So, keep that in mind that next time the media is feeding you this line in order to cover for their Muslim brothers and sisters.
