Rick Wiles is a radio talk show host with TruNews. Apparently it is his opinion that God has sent Ebola to cleanse the Earth of what might be perceived as undesirables by certain people.
Pink News, a LGBT site in the U.K. reports:
TruNews host Rick Wiles has egged on the disease, urging it to purge the earth of homosexuals.
He said: “Now this Ebola epidemic can become a global pandemic and that’s another name for plague. It may be the great attitude adjustment that I believe is coming.
“Ebola could solve America’s problems with atheism, homosexuality, sexual promiscuity, pornography and abortion.
“If Ebola becomes a global plague, you better make sure the blood of Jesus is upon you, you better make sure you have been marked by the angels so that you are protected by God. If not, you may be a candidate to meet the Grim Reaper.”
Here is an audio of Rick’s rant:

I am going to keep my comments as short and sweet as possible, although that is very difficult for me. It’s one of my many character defects. I am too long-winded. 🙂
I consider myself so far right that most of the Republican party is liberal to me and I do consider myself to be a Christian. However, this man reminds me of the now deceased Fred Phelps.
Trending:
I lived in Topeka Kansas for many years and I know about the festering hate of Fred Phelps. I also know that he did more to cause acceptance of homosexuality than to drive people from it. How can I say that? It’s pretty simple. No one wanted to be compared to Fred Phelps. They would purposely distance themselves from his teachings. He actually guilted many Christians into embracing many of the things he preached against. No one wants to be seen as a BIGOT. In that way Phelps was the ultimate tool of the left, even though many of his teachings and opinions seemed to be those of an extreme right-winger.
Though many claimed that Phelps was a right-winger, he was actually a lifelong democrat. He was one of those people that neither side wanted to claim, and rightfully so.
Back to Wiles…
It doesn’t matter how much truth you have in your words. What matters more is how you deliver them. The old saying is that “people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.” If I were a homosexual or atheist it would certainly not make me feel the need for redemption to hear the words of Rick Wiles. It would turn me further away from the Church.
I was taught that you do not hate the sinner, you hate the sin. I certainly don’t believe in an angry God who is waiting to kill me off because of the things I have done. I believe in the Salvation of the New Testament and the story of Jesus Christ.
That is just my opinion of course and I am sure many will disagree. You are always free to speak your mind here. What do you think?
