First glimpse: Shannon Maureen Conley, 19, also known as Halima, is facing terrorism charges for allegedly panning to travel to Syria and help the extremist group ISIS.

The converts and young Muslims are flocking to wage jihad in order to institute Islam and the sharia — a caliphate. And we are constantly told by stealth jihadists and their leftist lapdogs that they are merely misunderstanders.

No, they got it exactly right — these deceivers and dissemblers are part of the fight to disarm the kuffar. These jihadists get Islam — exactly right.

Despite this, Obama, in his unending wisdom, scrubbed all counter-terror material of mention of jihad and Islam.

Dhimmi FBI agents became aware of convert Conley’s communication with another devout Muslim waging jihad and reached out to the 19-year-old and her parents, urging her not to go to Syria, NBC reported.

She should have been arrested then, but the FBI tried talking her out of jihad/Islam. It’s to laugh, it’s to cry. According to a federal official,  Muslim convert Conley could not be dissuaded.

Authorities began investigating Conley on Nov. 5, 2013, when the pastor at Faith Bible Chapel in Arvada called local police and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation to report a teen had been spotted suspiciously taking notes at the church’s main campus at 6120 Ward Road on several Sundays at October, according to a federal affidavit supporting the criminal complaint.

Church officials have a heightened awareness about security because Faith Bible Chapel was the scene of a shooting in December 2007 when a man named Matthew Murray opened fire at the church’s Youth with a Mission Training Center, killing two missionaries. A few hours later, Murray went on a shooting spree at the New Life Church in Colorado Springs, killing two more people. He was shot by a church security guard and eventually took his own life.

So Faith Bible Chapel staff reacted quickly when they believed Conley was taking notes on various locations and the layout of the campus, the affidavit said.

Church staff approached Conley and asked to see her notes, but she refused.

Conley then became confrontational with FBC staff, citing her own Islamic religious views, church officials told federal investigators.[…]

Church officials told Conley not to return to the church campus.

On Nov. 7, 2013, an Arvada police detective and an FBI agent interviewed Conley, asking her why she has been visiting Faith Bible Chapel.

Conley said, “I hate those people.”

But Conley said she did not share her Islamic religious views or wear her hijab, a head covering worn in public by Muslim woman.

Conley told the investigators she does not like Israel or FBC’s active and vocal support for Israel. (more here)

A 19-year-old Denver woman has been arrested on terrorism charges for allegedly plotting to travel to Syria and join an Islamist extremist she had met online and was planning to marry.

Shannon Maureen Conley was arrested in April while trying to board a flight to Turkey with the alleged goal of meeting up with members of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria group, also known as ISIS.

According to a criminal complaint filed with the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, Conley conspired to commit an offense against the United States.

When questioned by officials, the teenager allegedly admitted that she wanted to use her American military training to wage jihad on the U.S., CBS Denver reported.

Conley told investigators she liked the idea of ‘guerrilla warfare because she could do it alone.’

Court papers released Wednesday indicate that Ms Conley told the Joint Terrorism Task Force that she was a Muslim convert.

‘If they think I’m a terrorist, I’ll give them something to think I am,’ the 19-year-old allegedly declared.

Conley had met someone known to her as ‘Y.M’ online who said he wanted to marry her and help her join the ranks of Islamic extremists in Syria, court documents stated.

He suitor apparently was a Tunisian man who claimed to be fighting for ISIS.

FBI agents have become aware of Conley’s communication with the foreign national and reached out to the 19-year-old and her parents, urging her not to go to Syria, NBC reported.

But according to a federal official, Conley could not be dissuaded. He added that the 19-year-old suffers from mental problems.

When Conley was detained at Denver International Airport April 8, she had a plane ticket to Turkey. Her final destination was Syria.
